We went to John not really knowing quite what we wanted. (Some kind of pendant light for a tall space.) we talked for ages, looked at ideas in his workshop and ideas from his portfolio, then he sketched and tweaked until we came up with an idea. John then made it (beautifully) and came to fit it for us, and even at this stage was prepared to tweak some more. We are soooo pleased with the end result. It’s individual, better than we ever could have bought off the shelf, and at a very reasonable price. Nothing is too much trouble for John - a real craftsman. Thank you John for our lovely new light.

I bought three light fittings for my new kitchen island, unfortunately one of them did not have a long enough cord to complete the look. The electrician could not get the light fitting apart, the retailer wasn’t helpful either. I found John via a google search and contacted him to see if he could help. I dropped the light off to him at his workshop with the replacement cord and the same day he contacted me to tell me it was all done! So happy, as I love the lights and was thinking I was going to have to find alternatives if I couldn’t get it changed. John was so accommodating and very helpful. I would certainly recommend to anyone with a bespoke lighting issue. Thank you so much 😊

Presented John with a challenge. 20 year old damaged outdoor lights requiring a full refurbishment (including re-wiring). John took his time and stripped down every light, refurbished it, fabricated replacement parts where they were needed and rebuilt every light. They are not installed and working in the garden. Although not cheap, getting them refurbished was far cheaper than replacing them all with modern day equivalents. Could not be happier. Top job done by a top bloke. Thanks John...

John has done a fantastic job restoring and repurposing a 1950s electric fire that I inherited from an old friend of mine. It's now a fabulous floor lamp. John provides a professional and friendly service. The restoration was completed quickly and to a very high standard. Highly recommended!

I recently purchased 3 individual handmade lights from here, they are all stunning! You can tell tat John pays so much attention to detail and is clearly passionate about what he does which shows through in the end product. What I really like is being able to see the workshop and the timber and discuss options as to what can be made from it. Great value for a great product and service, highly recommend.
